Todd Swatsler

Originally from Lima, Ohio, Todd began playing trumpet at age 10 (an experience he describes as "painful" to all involved) and switched to horn when he was 12. His first horn teacher was Nicholas Perrini. He earned a B.A. in Music at The Ohio State University.

After graduating from law school at Ohio State, Todd did corporate litigation at the Jones Day firm for 35 years. He now performs regularly with the Village Brass Quintet and the Ohio Capital Winds. He's also performed with the Central Ohio Symphony, the Lima Symphony, the Licking County Symphony and the Knox County Symphony.

Todd's interest in jazz comes from his dad (a trumpet player), whom he describes as
"quite possibly the biggest Stan Kenton fan in the world."
