Terry Douds
Terry Douds, bassist, is the Broadcast Operations Supervisor for the WOUB Center for Public Media at Ohio University. He is in demand as an instructor, performer, clinician, and recording engineer-producer. A graduate of the Ohio State University, Terry performed on four award-winning albums by the OSU Jazz Ensemble. With the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Carmen Cavallaro Trio and the Woody Herman Orchestra, he has toured the United States, the Dominican Republic, Europe and Asia.
Terry has performed with The Ink Spots, The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, The Huntington Symphony Orchestra, The Ohio Valley Symphony, Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, and the Four Aces. He is currently the bassist with Vaughn Wiester's Famous Jazz Orchestra in Columbus, The Bernie Nau Quartet in Athens, and the Riverjam band in WV. He also operates Cojazz Recordings, Ltd., a local label promoting Central Ohio jazz artists and archiving musical treasures.
